I'm back in Washington now after five amazing months in Kenya. Thank you for your prayers and support. I'll never forget those kids or the country and I'm going to do my best to make it back someday to visit. Thank you again!

Coming Home
I fly out of Nairobi tonight. It's strange to think I've really been here since September since it has gone by so fast. I'm going to miss my Tumaini kids and their happy faces. I'm going to miss this beautiful country with these beautiful people and this beautiful culture. I'll miss my organization SIM because they took such good care of me whenever I had to come down to Nairobi.
Keep praying for Kenya, tribalism is still causing a lot of trouble and if it gets worse who knows where Kenya will be this year.
Here are some photos of my beautiful kids!

Shalom.

News and Photos
Things have cooled down. Thank you for your prayers! I was really encouraged to check my email and see that so many people had responded. Keep praying, tribalism is real and causing a lot of strife. I'ts strange that I'm already saying goodbyes! I'm coming home on February 6th which is getting closer and closer. Keep praying, this week there are a few rallies planned.
Here are some photos from early December in Nyahururu where I got to harvest maize and see a bit of the Rift Valley!

Election Violence
Kenya is having some political trouble recently with the election results. The violence has escalated in Nairobi and we're currently on lockdown here at SIM. This means I can't get back up to my ministry with my kids. Please please and please pray for the violence to end and for travel to become safe again. Let's pray for a peaceful new year.

Beautiful Day
Here are some new photos I took today. We walked to Ndunyu Jeru from Tumaini which took about 45 minutes, had some lunch, then walked back. It was beautiful out and on our way we saw a chameleon. An old Kikuyu myth is that God sent the chameleon to tell people that they would live and a hare to tell people they would die. The chameleon was very slow and so the hare got to the people first. So, no one likes chameleons. Also, some children are afraid that the chameleon
can steal your skin color so while we stopped to pick it up and take
pictures a lot of others stopped to stare at us and they seemed pretty
surprised that we would consider touching it! It was a good day.

How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!"
